About Us

Rashtra Swasthya Prabodhini (RSP) is a social organization established in the year 1994, registered under society registration act 1860 and Mumbai public trust act 1950. RSP is a nonprofit making organization and not related to any religious and political group. At present RSP is working in the field of health awareness programmes at Mumbai and Bhiwandi -Thane.

Vision & Mission

A. Health Awareness: To implement health awareness programmes to reduce incidences of various contagious and infectious diseases among urban and rural society and establish medical relief centers, dispensaries and laboratories to make society healthy.

B. Educational: To create Social, Cultural and Educational awakening amongst the community, establish educational institutions and undertake recreational and welfare activities towards empowerment of women and children.

C. Society: To promote unity, goodwill, close cooperation, feelings brotherhood to increase self confidence, understanding & healthy atmosphere amongst the different communities with a view of National Integration by implementing educational, welfare and developmental, social and cultural programmes.


Since its establishment, the RSP has carried out following health promotional activities with co- operation of Mumbai police, students and teachers of educational institutes, women organization and social clubs in Mumbai city. 1. Conducted health education Programmes on AIDS awareness, leprosy eradication and public health problems. 2. Organized health awareness Programmes as debates, seminars, gathering, camps and rallies, 3. Timely co- operation given to Municipal Corporation, Govt. and other organizations in their health promotion activities.

Donation to our trust has been exempted under section 80-G (5) of the Income Tax act.

RSP is registered under FCRA Act with The ministry of Home Affairs Government of India.

Projects / Programme

  • Kasturi Project :-Targeted Intervention among female Sex Workers in Dahisar and Borivali areas of Mumbai city in collaboration with Mumbai Districts AIDS Control Society (MDACS) since 2004.
  • PPTCT Projects :-Targeted Intervention for Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission of HIV in Dahisar, Borivali, Kandivali and Goregaon area of Mumbai city in collaboration with IL & FS. This Project period ended in November 2015.
  • Margdeep Project :-Targeted Intervention for Migrant Workers and Truckers in Dahisar (East), Mumbai in Collaboration with Mumbai Districts AIDS Control Society since 2008.
  • Sahyog Project :-Targeted Intervention for Migrant Workers in Bhiwandi, Thane Districts in collaboration with AVERT Society up to 2009 and at present is being supported by Public Health Foundation of India.
